BMW R100S Motorcycle - Street (1976-1980)
The BMW R100S, produced from 1976 to 1980, is an iconic sport motorcycle powered by a 980cc twin-cylinder Boxer engine. Renowned for its performance and distinctive style, it generally delivered 70 horsepower. This model stood out with its abbreviated fairing, dual-disc front brakes, low handlebars, and racer seat, offering a dynamic riding experience. During its production run, the R100S underwent several evolutions. From 1978 (September 1977), it adopted Brembo rear disc brakes and cast aluminum "snowflake" wheels, replacing the wire-spoked wheels. 1979-1980 models saw the ignition points moved to a distributor-like container and Japanese-style handlebar switches.
