Vehicle Information
Ducati Alazurra Motorcycle - Street (1985)
The 1985 Ducati Alazurra, also known as the Cagiva Alazzurra after Cagiva's acquisition of Ducati, is a classic sport-touring motorcycle. Essentially a rebadged and restyled version of the Ducati Pantah, it was offered with two primary air-cooled L-twin engine displacements: a 649cc unit producing 55 horsepower and a smaller 349cc engine. Trims included the standard 650, the US-specific 650 SS with a full fairing and dry clutch, and the 650 GT. A 350cc model was also available, with 270 units produced in 1985. During the 1985 model year, several notable changes occurred. Early models featured a polished engine, which later transitioned to a black finish. The clutch type saw a shift from wet to dry for some 650 SS models. Wheels were updated from "type 1" to "type 2 Oscams" late in the year, and the rear rim on the SS model became wider. Additionally, the US-spec 650 SS received larger Brembo P08 front brake calipers, while other models retained P05 calipers. These mid-year updates reflect ongoing refinements.
