Vehicle Information
GAS GAS SM 450 Motorcycle - Street (2004-2009)
The GAS GAS SM 450 is a robust supermoto motorcycle, produced from 2004 to 2009. It is powered by a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine. Initially equipped with a 399 cc engine in 2004, the SM 450 saw its displacement increase to 449 cc from 2005 onwards, a configuration that remained until 2009. Significant updates marked the period. In 2005, the engine benefited from a lighter crankshaft, a redesigned central crankcase, and an improved oil pressure system, while the chassis was revised with an altered steering angle and new suspension settings. The year 2006 introduced a switch from a dry sump to a wet sump lubrication system. In 2008, the SM 450 received a stiffer and lighter chassis, a new battery-less fuel injection system, and a redesigned cylinder head, enhancing both performance and rider comfort. These evolutions allowed the SM 450 to adapt to the demands of supermoto riders. FAQ:
