Yamaha RT2-MX 360 Dirt Bike (1972)
The 1972 Yamaha RT2-MX 360 was a dedicated motocross motorcycle, powered by a 351cc two-stroke, single-cylinder engine. This engine produced approximately 30 to 32 horsepower at 6,000 rpm. It was considered one of Yamaha's first true production motocross bikes, featuring factory modifications for racing, including carburetion changes, a special exhaust pipe, and revised frame geometry and suspension. It was a progression from earlier RT1 models and a precursor to the YZ series. For the 1972 model year, there is no evidence of significant mid-cycle generation or engine changes for the RT2-MX 360.
