Vehicle Information
Arctic Cat Proclimb XF800 Snowmobile (2012-2013)
The Arctic Cat Proclimb XF800, available for the 2012 and 2013 model years, is a performance snowmobile powered by a robust 800 H.O. two-stroke engine. Built on the ProCross and ProClimb chassis platforms, this model was designed to offer a dynamic riding experience, both on-trail and off-trail. Its 794cc oil-injected engine produced approximately 160 horsepower, positioning it as a powerful choice in its category. While the core 794cc engine remained the same, Arctic Cat implemented several refinements for the 2013 model year. Clutch engagement was smoothed, reduced from 3200 to 2800 RPM. Electric start became a factory option. XF models received a 141-inch Cobra track and a new flat-top tunnel design to minimize ice buildup. Gearing was adjusted for a higher theoretical top speed. More robust drivetrain components, such as driven clutch rollers and an improved belt, were introduced to address 2012 issues. The reverse mechanism was also updated. Q : How can I ensure this part is compatible with my Arctic Cat Proclimb XF800?
R : To guarantee compatibility, please use our year and model selector located at the top of this page.
Maintenance
| Component | Interval | Details |
| Oil Filter (Engine Oil) | Not applicable (2-stroke engine) | The 2-stroke engine uses an oil injection system, without a traditional engine oil filter. Use recommended 2-stroke oil (e.g., Arctic Cat Formula 50 or C-TEC2). A 100:1 fuel/oil premix is required for initial break-in. |
| Drive Belt | Regular inspection | Regularly inspect the belt for wear, cracks, or damage. Replace as needed. Follow the belt break-in procedure. |
| Spark Plug | Periodic inspection and replacement as per recommendations | Periodically inspect and replace according to manufacturer specifications for optimal performance. |
| Air Filter | Inspection and cleaning/replacement as per recommendations | Inspect, clean, or replace the air filter to ensure proper airflow and prevent engine contamination. |
| Coolant | Regular level check | Regularly check the coolant level. Use the recommended type of coolant (e.g., 50/50 antifreeze mix). |
