BMW K1100LT Motorcycle - Street (1993-1999)
The BMW K1100LT, produced from 1993 to 1999, is a touring motorcycle renowned for its reliability and comfort. Powered by a robust 1092 cc inline four-cylinder engine, it delivers approximately 100 horsepower at 7500 rpm. This Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) engine with 4 valves per cylinder is water-cooled, providing consistent performance for long journeys. While the core K1100LT model remained consistent, significant updates were introduced. From 1994 onwards, the alternator was upgraded from 400 to 700 watts, and the engine benefited from longer connecting rods and rubber-mounted footpegs to reduce vibrations. The fairing was also modified for improved comfort, and an electrically adjustable windscreen was added.
