Ski-Doo MXZ 800 Snowmobile (2000-2017)
The Ski-Doo MXZ 800 series, produced from 2000 to 2017, represents a significant lineage of high-performance two-stroke snowmobiles. These models were primarily powered by Rotax 800 series engines, with displacements ranging from 793cc to 799.5cc. Over its production run, the MXZ 800 evolved through various trims like Adrenaline, X, Renegade, X-RS, and TNT, each offering distinct performance, features, and suspension packages to cater to different riding styles. This period saw several pivotal advancements. The MXZ 800 transitioned from the ZX chassis (2000-2002) to the revolutionary REV chassis in 2003, which introduced a more forward and upright rider position. Further chassis innovations included the lighter and stronger REV-XP platform around 2007-2008, followed by the sculpted REV-XS platform in 2013. Engine technology also progressed, notably with the introduction of the 800R E-TEC direct injection engine in 2010, offering improved fuel efficiency and robust performance, typically exceeding 155 hp. Other key updates included the rMotion rear suspension in 2012 and the RAS 2 front suspension in 2014, enhancing ride comfort and handling. FAQ:
