Vehicle Information
Yamaha RX Warrior 1000 Snowmobile (2004-2005)
The Yamaha RX Warrior 1000, a performance-oriented snowmobile, was available for the 2004 and 2005 model years. These models featured a consistent 998cc liquid-cooled, horizontal in-line, DOHC, 4-stroke engine throughout this period. While there was no mid-cycle generation or engine change between 2004 and 2005, the 2005 model received significant updates. It featured new and upgraded suspensions and other lightweight components, resulting in an 11-pound (5 kg) weight reduction compared to the 2004 model. Additionally, an "RX WARRIOR LIMITED E" trim was introduced in 2005. The RX Warrior is distinct from the RX-1, primarily featuring a longer 136-inch track. Q: Is this product compatible with my Yamaha RX Warrior 1000?
R: To ensure perfect compatibility, please select the exact year and trim of your snowmobile using our fitment selector.
Maintenance
| Component | Interval | Details |
| Oil Filter | Annually or every season | It is recommended to change the engine oil and filter annually. Some sources suggest every second year, but annual replacement is a common practice for snowmobiles. |
| Drive Belt | Regular check | It is advised to carry a good spare drive belt and to regularly check the clutches, as their condition affects belt performance. |
| Spark Plug | Inspect and replace as needed | To be inspected and replaced during pre-season maintenance for optimal performance. |
| Air Filter | Pre-season check | Check for obstructions or debris, especially during pre-season checks. |
| Coolant | Every 5 to 6 years | Check antifreeze level regularly. Replacement is typically suggested every 5 to 6 years, or sooner if its condition is questionable. |
