Vehicle Information
Honda CBR1000F Motorcycle - Street (1987-1996)
The Honda CBR1000F, also known as the Hurricane in some markets, was a prominent sport touring motorcycle produced from 1987 to 1996. All models were powered by a liquid-cooled, DOHC, 998 cc, 16-valve inline-four engine. While there were no distinct "trim" levels in the modern sense, the CBR1000F underwent three significant revisions during its production run. The first generation (1987-1988) featured narrower wheels and a 21-liter fuel tank. The second generation (1989-1992) brought a major cosmetic redesign, improved front suspension, wider tires (120mm front, 170mm rear), a revised cam chain tensioner, increased fuel tank capacity to 22 liters, and a more powerful generator. The third generation (1993-1996) introduced Honda's Dual Combined Braking System (DCBS) for enhanced stopping power, along with more streamlined bodywork and updated carburetors. A brief touring model with a larger windscreen and panniers was also offered after 1992. Q: How do I find parts specific to my CBR1000F?
