The Kawasaki Z1, a groundbreaking motorcycle, was produced from 1973 to 1975. This iconic model is powered by a 903cc air-cooled, in-line four-cylinder DOHC engine. It quickly established itself as a benchmark in performance and design. While the core engine and design remained largely consistent, Kawasaki introduced minor updates and cosmetic changes each year. The 1973 model (Z1) featured a black engine. In 1974, the Z1A saw its engine change to bare aluminum, received upgraded drive chain adjuster bolts, and a more efficient chain lubrication system. The 1975 Z1B benefited from improved suspension and a stiffer frame, the deletion of the automatic chain oiler, and enhanced braking performance.
