Vehicle Information
Honda Gold Wing 1200 Motorcycle - Street (1984-1987)
The Honda Gold Wing 1200, produced from 1984 to 1987, was a significant touring motorcycle. It featured a liquid-cooled, 1182 cc flat-four engine (94 hp at 7000 rpm) across all models in this range. This generation marked a major evolution from its predecessor, the GL1100, introducing a stiffer frame, the larger engine with hydraulic valve adjusters for reduced maintenance, and improved suspension. While the core engine remained consistent, there were notable mid-cycle changes and distinct trims. The unfaired Standard model was dropped after 1984. The Limited Edition (LTD) in 1984 and the SE-i (Special Edition - Injected) in 1986 introduced computerized fuel injection, advanced suspension, and sophisticated electronics. However, the SE-i was discontinued in 1987, with Honda returning to carburetors for the Interstate and Aspencade models, which also received a new, more comfortable seat design. Q: How do I know which parts fit my specific Gold Wing 1200?
A: To ensure perfect compatibility, please use the year and edition selector at the top of this page.
