Powered by a consistent 475cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine delivering approximately 29 horsepower, it offers a 450-pound rear rack capacity and 1,000-pound towing capacity. While the Pioneer 500 maintained a single base model without traditional trim levels, significant updates were introduced. In 2017, the transmission gained an automatic mode, complementing the existing paddle shifters, and the suspension was enhanced with new dual-rate springs for a smoother ride.
