Vehicle Information
Sea-Doo GTI 170 Personal Watercraft (2020-2026)
The Sea-Doo GTI 170, available from 2020 to 2026, is powered by the Rotax 1630 ACE - 170 engine. This 1630 cc engine produces 170 horsepower, is naturally aspirated, 4-stroke, 3-cylinder, and features a Closed-Loop Cooling System (CLCS). Designed for recreational use, the GTI SE 170 is the primary trim offered, including features such as the iBR (Intelligent Brake and Reverse) system, VTS (Variable Trim System), a large 152.8-liter sealed front storage, the LinQ attachment system, a boarding ladder, an Ergolock two-piece touring seat, and a 4.5-inch digital display. An optional BRP Audio-Premium System is also available. Notable updates occurred during this period. In 2020, the GTI 170 received a significant makeover, introducing the 170 hp Rotax 1630 ACE engine and the Polytec Gen II hull. This new material replaced previous fiberglass-based hulls, improving performance, control, and robustness while reducing weight. For the 2026 model year, the iDF (Intelligent Debris-Free) system became a standard feature on the GTI SE trim, allowing riders to clear a clogged intake in seconds. Refinements to throttle response, improved stability, and comfort enhancements (updated seat foam, improved grip texture) were also implemented. The core engine remained consistent. FAQ:
