Vehicle Information
Arctic Cat M5 500 Snowmobile (2005)
The 2005 Arctic Cat M5 500 snowmobile was part of a significant generation change for Arctic Cat's mountain sled lineup, introducing the new "M" series. It is equipped with a 499cc, 2-stroke, horizontal in-line, 2-cylinder engine with reed valve induction and carburetion, based on the Firecat series engines. The M-series, launched in 2005, represented a complete overhaul, making these sleds lighter than previous Mountain Cat models. Key innovations included an all-new chassis, new saddleless skis, a new seat, an expanded ACT Drive system, and a new mountain track. All M-series models, including the M5, featured a 16-inch wide tunnel for a 15-inch wide track, an AWS VI front suspension with 9.2 inches of travel, and a FasTrack Long Travel rear suspension. The M5 specifically used two 34mm round slide carbs and came with a 15- by 141- by 1.6-inch track. The "Attack 20" track with a 2.25-inch lug was also available for the M-series. Q: Is this product compatible with my 2005 Arctic Cat M5 500?
A: To ensure perfect compatibility, please use the year and edition selector at the top of the page.
