The Yamaha Exciter 440, produced from 1976 to 1981, was a popular snowmobile known for its performance. It featured a 433cc (or 440cc) reed valve, 7-port "Torque-Induction" axial fan-cooled twin engine. This model primarily maintained a single trim level throughout its production, with yearly updates.
While there were no major generational breaks, the Exciter 440 received continuous improvements.
