Vehicle Information
Arctic Cat Thundercat 900 Snowmobile (1993-1997)
The Arctic Cat Thundercat 900, produced from 1993 to 1997, was a prominent "musclesled" known for its powerful engine and performance. It was powered by a Suzuki-produced, counterbalanced case-reed triple-cylinder 2-stroke engine, with a displacement of 896cc (often referred to as 900cc), generating approximately 160 to 161.5 horsepower. This engine featured triple tuned pipes, 38mm VM Roundslide Mikuni Carburetors, and forged pistons. During its production run, the Thundercat 900 was offered as a standard model and a specialized Mountain Cat (M/C) trim for mountain riding, available from 1994 to 1997. While the core engine design remained largely consistent, the chassis saw a notable upgrade: models from 1993 to 1995 utilized the AWS3 chassis, whereas the 1996 and 1997 models were upgraded to the AWS4 chassis. Q: How can I ensure parts fit my Thundercat 900?
