Description
The Shaper Bar takes the wearbar design and performance to a new level! This bar offers a unique shape that provides much better turning than conventional bars and offers a 20% weight savings too! The concave side profile on the Shaper Bar grabs and holds snow rather than allowing snow to slip by like other wearbars. While the shape of this bar improves the turning radius of your sled on the trail, the large 60º carbide provides great control and wear on hard surfaces. The "Shaper" Bar is the original and still the best handling wearbar in the industry since 2002. Made from "cold rolled steel" to the patented shape with large 60° degree cutting carbide for durability and precise handling. The concave side profile grabs and holds snow for better and more precise turning. NOTE: Now E-coated in a corrosion-resistant black finish (may receive zinc plated bars -depending on stock). Sold in pairs.

Vehicle Information
Polaris WideTrak 488 Snowmobile (2004-2011)
The Polaris WideTrak 488, also known as the WideTrak LX or Indy WideTrak LX, was a popular snowmobile produced from 2004 to 2011. This model consistently featured a reliable 488cc liquid-cooled, 2-stroke engine, often referred to as the 'Fuji engine' or '500 liquid engine,' delivering a steady 65 horsepower. It was built on the robust Gen II chassis, which Polaris introduced in 1999, ensuring a consistent and dependable platform throughout its production run. The primary trim offered for this 488cc variant was the WideTrak LX. Throughout the 2004-2011 period, the Polaris WideTrak 488 maintained consistent engine and chassis specifications. There were no significant mid-cycle generation or engine changes for this specific 488cc model. While a distinct model, the Polaris WideTrak IQ, was introduced around 2009 with different engines and chassis, it was not a generation change for the 488cc WideTrak LX, which continued its consistent design.
