Description
The Shaper Bar takes the wearbar design and performance to a new level! This bar offers a unique shape that provides much better turning than conventional bars and offers a 20% weight savings too! The concave side profile on the Shaper Bar grabs and holds snow rather than allowing snow to slip by like other wearbars. While the shape of this bar improves the turning radius of your sled on the trail, the large 60º carbide provides great control and wear on hard surfaces. The "Shaper" Bar is the original and still the best handling wearbar in the industry since 2002. Made from "cold rolled steel" to the patented shape with large 60° degree cutting carbide for durability and precise handling. The concave side profile grabs and holds snow for better and more precise turning. NOTE: Now E-coated in a corrosion-resistant black finish (may receive zinc plated bars -depending on stock). Sold in pairs.

Vehicle Information
Yamaha Mountain Max 700 Snowmobile (1997-2004)
The Yamaha Mountain Max 700, produced from 1997 to 2004, is a high-performance mountain snowmobile designed for deep snow and challenging terrain. It consistently featured a robust 698cc, liquid-cooled, horizontal in-line, reed valve, 2-stroke, triple-cylinder engine across all model years. This powerful and smooth engine was a hallmark of the series, providing reliable performance for mountain riders. While the core 698cc engine remained unchanged throughout its production, significant updates were introduced to enhance its deep snow capabilities. In 1999, Yamaha integrated the ProAction Plus rear suspension, offering 11.5 inches of travel, and a factory-installed 2-inch track. The 2000 model further refined its deep powder performance with a 141-inch deep lug track and ProAction Mountain rear suspension. Models from 2001 to 2004 largely carried over these specifications, maintaining the 141-inch track and 2.0-inch lug height, with some 2002 models featuring a 156-inch track. Q: Are there differences between the 1997 and 2004 Yamaha Mountain Max 700 models?
A: Yes, while the engine remained consistent, there were notable changes in suspension and track specifications over the years. Please use our year and edition selector to find parts specific to your model.
