Description
Portals Are Geared for All
Portals are geared for all, and that means we’re not putting anyone in a box. Choose a 15% or a 30% gear reduction to match your ride style. Love going big and going deep? Get 30% gear reduction for maximum torque and bigger tires. Prefer trail riding? Get a 15% gear reduction. Need ultimate strength? Opt for our dual idler configuration. The choice is yours. Ride your way wherever you want. Let GDP take you where no one else can go.
What is a Dual Idler®?
Perfection takes time. After years of research and development, we’ve made our dual idler gear portals unlike any other. By placing a second idler gear in the portal box, the load gets spread over twice as much surface area for more reliable torque transfer and the strongest gear set you can get. Two idler gears don’t do a thing if they’re not mated perfectly, though. Precision CNC grinding ensures ours do. Our gears are made from the industry’s toughest 9310 steel alloy. Didn’t think dual idlers mattered? With GDP’s quality and experience, they finally do.
Perfect for All Kinds of Rides
Love mud? The deeper you go, the more you’ll realize how much torque a 30% portal gear reduction really gives you. Plus that extra ground clearance will keep you from getting swamped. Portals plus mud just makes sense. For trails, desert, and dunes, check out our 15% gear reduction that maintains a higher top speed while still giving you punchy torque.
A Gear Reduction That Protects Your Drivetrain
Portals have their gear reduction right in the hub. That makes this gear reduction reduce the stress on your axles, differential, Prop shaft, and transmission. You can ride harder than stock and cause less wear. It’s a win-win, and a recipe for fun.
Stronger Housings by Design
You think you can find better housings that GDP housings? Think again. Our housings are stronger by design. We know what makes a housing break and why. That’s why whether you choose cast or USA-made 6061 billet aluminum with a dead sexy CNC-machined finish, you’re getting a kick-ass housing with unmatched strength and reliability. Plus, they’re supported by our unstoppable backing plates made with an advanced steel alloy.
Advanced Gaskets, Seals, and Bearings
Our portals use:
Complete the Package with a Frame Stiffener
Portals and monster tires are fun, but they can place additional stress on your machine’s frame. To make your suspension bulletproof, don’t forget to add a SuperATV Frame Stiffener when you check out!
