Ducati Monster 1100 Motorcycle - Street (2009-2013)
The Ducati Monster 1100 series, produced from 2009 to 2013, is a renowned naked motorcycle powered by an air-cooled, 1078 cc L-twin Desmodromic engine. Initially offering 95 hp, the lineup included the base Monster 1100 and the sportier 1100 S with Öhlins suspension and lighter components. A significant evolution occurred in 2011 with the introduction of the Monster 1100 EVO. This update boosted engine power to 100 hp, replaced the dry clutch with a wet one, and relocated the exhaust for improved handling. The EVO also introduced standard safety features like ABS and Ducati Traction Control (DTC), along with Marzocchi front forks. Subsequent models like the 2012 Monster 1100 Diesel and 2013 20th Anniversary were special editions built upon the EVO platform, retaining its updated features. No further generation breaks occurred within this 2009-2013 range beyond the 2011 EVO update. Q: How do I know which Monster 1100 trim I have?
