Designed for the technical challenges of trials riding, it underwent several significant evolutions. Initially, standard TXT 200 models featured a 199cc engine. A major chassis overhaul occurred in 2002, transitioning to a round-tube structure, marking the introduction of the TXT Pro model with a more compact engine and a new gearbox. From 2004, TXT 200 Pro models were equipped with a 175.3cc engine.
