Vehicle Information
KTM 300 XC-WE Dirt Bike (2008-2009)
The KTM 300 XC-WE (also known as 300 XC-W (e) or 300 E/XC-W) is a two-stroke off-road motorcycle renowned for its enduro and trail performance. For the 2008 and 2009 model years, it featured a 293.2 cc engine (72 mm x 72 mm bore and stroke), delivering an estimated power output of 47 to 55 horsepower (35-41 kW). The 'W' in XC-W denotes a wide-ratio gearbox, ideal for off-road riding, while the 'E' or '(e)' confirms the inclusion of an electric start system, a key feature of this model. It differentiates itself from the 300 XC, which had a close-ratio gearbox and typically kickstart only. The 2008 model year brought significant updates to the 300 XC-WE. It received a new, stiffer chassis, inspired by the SX models, greatly enhancing off-road handling. Electric start became a standard feature, and the suspension was updated with an open cartridge fork, optimized for low-speed obstacles. The 2009 model was largely a carryover from 2008, retaining these major improvements with no further significant changes. FAQ:
