Vehicle Information
Arctic Cat Prowler 1000 Side-by-Side (2009-2017)
The Arctic Cat Prowler 1000, produced from 2009 to 2017, was a powerful side-by-side known for its performance. It featured a 951cc V-twin electronic fuel-injected engine, delivering over 70 horsepower (approximately 68 hp at the crankshaft) and impressive torque. This four-stroke, four-valve per cylinder, single overhead cam (SOHC) engine remained consistent throughout its production, ensuring reliable power for both work and recreation. While the 951cc V-twin engine remained unchanged, the Prowler 1000 received significant enhancements. In 2011, Electronic Power Steering (EPS) was introduced, along with new bodywork, a redesigned dashboard, and improved engine braking. A major redesign occurred in 2015, featuring new premium bodywork, a re-engineered cabin for increased comfort, LED/halogen lighting, and a closed-loop engine management system for better performance and mileage. These updates primarily focused on comfort, ergonomics, and aesthetics, without altering the core powertrain platform. Q : Is this product compatible with my Arctic Cat Prowler 1000?

Maintenance
| Component | Interval | Details |
| Engine Oil and Oil Filter | Every 50 to 100 hours or at least once per riding season. Can be extended to 1,600 km or once per year with Arctic Cat ACX synthetic oil. | Hour-based intervals are more meaningful for variable use. A seasonal change ensures fresh oil, especially before storage. |
| Air Filter | Inspect and service every 50 to 100 hours or at least once per season. | Inspect more frequently in dusty or muddy conditions. Replace if the filter is dark, oily, torn, or damaged. |
| Spark Plug | Inspect and replace as needed. One manual suggests every 6,400 km or 18 months. | Annual replacement is often recommended to prevent issues. |
| Coolant | Check level regularly. Replace every 2 to 5 years (general recommendation). | Add properly mixed coolant as necessary. |
| Drive Belt (V-Belt) | Inspect around 100 hours. Replace at the first sign of damage. | Service manuals indicate regular inspection, but a precise numerical interval is not always specified. |
