Vehicle Information
Arctic Cat Alterra TRV 550 ATV (2016-2017)
The Arctic Cat Alterra TRV 550, available from 2016 to 2017, is a robust two-rider utility ATV powered by a liquid-cooled 545cc H1 engine with electronic fuel injection (EFI). This single-cylinder, four-stroke engine, featuring SOHC and a 4-valve configuration, is known for delivering smooth and sufficient power for various tasks. In 2016, the Alterra 550 was offered as a base model and an XT EPS version, which included Electronic Power Steering, aluminum wheels, and painted bodywork. TRV models were already configured for two passengers. The year 2017 brought significant evolution with the introduction of the Alterra TRV 550 XT, described as an "all-new" model. While the core 545cc H1 engine remained unchanged, the chassis and bodywork were completely redesigned. Enhancements included an extended chassis, a more comfortable two-passenger seat, ergonomic passenger handles, raised footrests, a more upright riding position, and an improved turning radius. New dual halogen headlights with LED accents and dual rear LED lights were added. The front and rear SpeedRack II racks were updated, and the double A-arm suspension was optimized with a rear swaybar. A clutch system sound reduction system was also integrated, decreasing noise by 8 decibels. The 2017 models also featured premium cast aluminum wheels and automotive-style paint. FAQ:
