Vehicle Information
Polaris Predator 500 ATV (2003-2007)
The Polaris Predator 500, produced from 2003 to 2007, is a sport ATV known for its performance. It was powered by a 499 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke DOHC engine, producing approximately 41 to 42 horsepower. This engine was paired with a Mikuni 42mm BSR carburetor and a 5-speed manual transmission with reverse, offering a dynamic riding experience. The Predator 500 was available in several editions, including the Standard model, the Troy Lee Edition (2004, 2005, 2006), the Dale Earnhardt Jr. Edition (2004), and a Limited Edition (LE) in 2007. While the engine displacement remained consistent, Polaris implemented significant updates. In 2004, the transmission was improved for easier shifting, the swingarm was shortened, and the 2003's 10-inch rear wheels were replaced with more common 9-inch wheels. Changes were also made to the ball joints, rear fenders, and chain guide. Furthermore, 2005-2007 models featured a modified engine bottom end, specifically a gear on the crankshaft related to the counterbalancer, distinguishing these years from the 2003-2004 versions. The 2005, 2006, and 2007 models were largely carryovers of the 2004 improvements. Q : How can I ensure parts are compatible with my Polaris Predator 500?
R : To guarantee compatibility, please use the year and edition selector available on this page.
