Vehicle Information
KTM 200 MXC Dirt Bike (1998-2003)
The KTM 200 MXC, produced from 1998 to 2003, was a dedicated two-stroke off-road motorcycle designed for cross-country riding. It featured a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 193 cc engine, consistently delivering around 40 hp (30 kW). The MXC model was distinct from its EXC and SX counterparts primarily through transmission gearing and lighting configurations, and was not offered in sub-trims. Throughout its production, the 200 MXC received significant updates. The 1998 model introduced a new engine generation and the PDS linkless rear suspension. Major chassis and suspension revisions occurred in 2000, upgrading to 43 mm inverted forks. The 2003 model year brought the most substantial changes, including new White Power USD 48 mm forks, larger front and rear wheel axles and hubs, improved ergonomics, and engine enhancements like a new crankshaft and revised transmission components. These updates aimed to refine performance and durability. Frequently Asked Questions:
