Vehicle Information
KTM 500 XCF-W Motorcycle - Dual-Sport (2020-2022)
The KTM 500 XCF-W (2020-2022) is a pure off-road motorcycle, renowned for its impressive power and excellent power-to-weight ratio. During these years, it was offered as a single trim, without distinct sub-trims. Its single-cylinder, four-stroke engine with a displacement of 510.9 cc (often rounded to 510cc) remained consistent, delivering robust off-road performance. Positioned as an off-road specific alternative to the street-legal 500 EXC-F, the 500 XCF-W is designed for the most demanding trails. It underwent a major overhaul in 2020, followed by continuous suspension and aesthetic improvements in subsequent years.
Maintenance
| Component | Interval | Details |
| Engine Oil and Oil Filter | Every 10 to 15 hours or every 6,000 km | 15 hours for recreational riding, 10 hours for aggressive or race-level riding. A 6,000 km interval is also suggested for KTM engines. |
| Spark Plug | Every 50 hours | Often coincides with a valve check. |
| Air Filter | Every 5 to 10 hours | Clean and service every 5 hours in dusty/muddy conditions, or every 10 hours in more controlled environments. Check before each ride in extreme environments. |
| Coolant | Check every 1 hour; change every 2 years | Check antifreeze and coolant level every 1 operating hour. Replace coolant every 2 years. |
