KTM 250 EXC TPI Dirt Bike (2019-2021)
The KTM 250 EXC TPI, a popular two-stroke enduro motorcycle, saw several refinements and updates between the 2019 and 2021 model years. Across this range, it maintained a 249 ccm engine and was offered in two primary trims. The 2019 model introduced the revolutionary Transfer Port Injection (TPI) system, improving efficiency and reducing emissions. The 2020 model marked a new generation with a redesigned chassis, refined WP XPLOR and PDS suspension, and significant engine improvements, including a new frame and repositioned radiators. The 2021 model primarily received aesthetic updates and suspension refinements, such as an additional preload adjuster in the WP XPLOR front fork. Two main trims were available: the standard KTM 250 EXC TPI and the KTM 250 EXC Six Days TPI, a special edition featuring upgraded components and unique graphics. Frequently Asked Questions:

Maintenance
| Component | Interval | Details |
| Gear Oil (and screen filter) | First change after 5 hours; then every 20 hours | The screen filter is within the gearbox. These two-stroke engines have separate engine and transmission oil. |
| Belt | Not applicable | These models use a chain drive system, not a belt. |
| Spark Plug | Every 40 hours | Regular changes are crucial for optimal TPI system performance. |
| Air Filter | Check after every ride; clean and oil if dirty. Recommended cleaning: every 10 hours (motorsports), 10 to 15 hours (recreational), 2 to 3 hours (extreme conditions). | Replace if damaged. Maintenance is highly dependent on riding conditions. |
| Coolant | Check level every 10 to 20 hours. Replace every 40 to 50 hours or annually. | Use compatible, silicate-free coolants. |
