Polaris SKS 800 Snowmobile (2016-2020)
The Polaris SKS 800, produced between 2016 and 2020, is a mountain and crossover snowmobile known for its performance. All models during this period consistently featured a 795cc, 2-stroke, liquid-cooled engine with Cleanfire H.O. Injection. This engine remained a constant, delivering high output throughout these years. Significant nuances emerged in 2018. The 800 H.O. Cleanfire engine received updates, including a new thermostat for a lower running temperature (43°C instead of 52°C), an improved exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor, and sealed crankcases with enhanced lubrication. For the SKS 146, the track was updated to a Series 5.2 with a 2.25-inch lug height, and the revised IGX (Improved Geometry Xover) rear suspension was adopted, offering increased versatility.
