The Yamaha RX Warrior 1000, a performance-oriented snowmobile, was available for the 2004 and 2005 model years. These models featured a consistent 998cc liquid-cooled, horizontal in-line, DOHC, 4-stroke engine throughout this period. While there was no mid-cycle generation or engine change between 2004 and 2005, the 2005 model received significant updates. It featured new and upgraded suspensions and other lightweight components, resulting in an 11-pound (5 kg) weight reduction compared to the 2004 model.
