The Sea-Doo GTI, produced from 1996 to 2006, is a popular three-seater personal watercraft known for its versatility and accessibility. Initially powered by a 2-stroke Rotax 717 engine (718cc, 85 HP), the series underwent significant evolution over the years. In 2001, the GTI adopted a new RX-based platform, though it retained the 717 engine. A major engine upgrade occurred in 2003 with the introduction of the fuel-injected Rotax 787 RFI engine (782cc, 110 HP) for the GTI LE RFI trims, which became more widespread across other trims by 2004. The most substantial transformation took place in 2006, marking a complete generational shift. The entire GTI lineup transitioned to a new platform and a more powerful 4-stroke Rotax 4-TEC engine (1494cc, 130 HP), definitively moving away from the earlier 2-stroke models. FAQ:
