Vehicle Information
Sea-Doo GTS Personal Watercraft (1992-2001)
The Sea-Doo GTS personal watercraft, produced from 1992 to 2001, is an iconic model from the brand, recognized for its versatility and accessibility. Positioned as a recreational watercraft, it underwent several significant evolutions over the years, primarily concerning its engine and hull. Initially equipped with the Rotax 587 engine (581-587 cc, 55-56 hp) from 1992 to 1996, the GTS was known as the GTS 580. In 1997, a major upgrade introduced the more powerful Rotax 717 engine (718 cc, 85 hp), leading to the GTS 720. This period (1997-2000) maintained the same hull platform. The year 2001 saw the introduction of a new hull design with a deeper keel, enhancing stability and handling, while retaining the Rotax 717 engine. Changes between 1998 and 2000 were primarily cosmetic. FAQ:
