Vehicle Information
Suzuki GS500 Motorcycle - Street (1989-2009)
The Suzuki GS500, produced from 1989 to 2009, is a versatile standard motorcycle known for its reliability and ease of use. Powered by a 487 cc, air-cooled parallel twin engine with DOHC, it served as an excellent option for both new riders and experienced commuters. Throughout its two-decade production run, the GS500 underwent several notable updates. Initially launched as the naked GS500E, its engine output was rated at 52 hp until 1996. From 1997 onwards, the horsepower was adjusted to 47 hp. A significant restyling occurred in 2001, rebranding the naked model simply as GS500, featuring new bodywork, a larger fuel tank, and an upgraded rear disc brake. In 2004, the fully faired GS500F was introduced, offering enhanced wind protection and a sportier aesthetic, alongside an engine oil cooler and improved front brake calipers. These changes ensured the GS500 remained a relevant and popular choice across various markets. Q: How can I confirm the right parts for my Suzuki GS500?
