Vehicle Information
Yamaha RZ350 Motorcycle - Street (1984-1985)
The Yamaha RZ350, available in the North American market from 1983 to 1985, represents the pinnacle of Yamaha's RD series of two-stroke motorcycles. For the 1984 and 1985 model years, it was powered by a liquid-cooled, twin-carbureted, reed valve inducted, 347cc parallel-twin engine. This model was also the first in the RD series to incorporate the Yamaha Power Valve System (YPVS), optimizing power and torque across the entire rev range. While the RZ350 retained its core architecture, 1985 marked a notable stylistic transition. The RZ350F model introduced a full, frame-mounted fairing and Variable Damper forks, moving away from the bikini fairing attached to the forks of earlier versions. Engine refinements, including modifications to the cylinders, carburation, reed valve, and oil pump, were also implemented to address mid-range performance issues. Q: How can I ensure parts fit my Yamaha RZ350?
R: To guarantee compatibility, please use the year and model selector at the top of this page.
