The Kawasaki A1 Samurai 250, produced from 1966 to 1971, was a high-performance motorcycle known for its 247cc two-stroke, air-cooled, oil-injected, dual rotary disc valve engine. This engine produced 31 hp (23.1 kW) at 8,000 RPM. During its production, the A1 Samurai was offered in several trims, including the standard A1 Samurai, the A1SS Samurai (Street Scrambler) designed for North America with a distinctive exhaust, and the A1R, a racing version featuring a more powerful engine.
