Vehicle Information
Kawasaki A1 Samurai 250 Motorcycle - Street (1966-1971)
The Kawasaki A1 Samurai 250, produced from 1966 to 1971, was a high-performance motorcycle known for its 247cc two-stroke, air-cooled, oil-injected, dual rotary disc valve engine. This engine produced 31 hp (23.1 kW) at 8,000 RPM. During its production, the A1 Samurai was offered in several trims, including the standard A1 Samurai, the A1SS Samurai (Street Scrambler) designed for North America with a distinctive exhaust, and the A1R, a racing version featuring a more powerful engine. Significant changes occurred, notably the ignition system update in 1969, transitioning from points to a CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) system, increasing voltage to 25,000-30,000 volts. Cosmetic evolutions also marked different model years, affecting tank design, seat, and instrumentation. Q: Is this part compatible with my Kawasaki A1 Samurai 250?

Maintenance
| Component | Interval | Details |
| Oil and Oil Filter | Every 4,800 km or 6 months | The A1 Samurai uses an oil injection system for the engine. This interval likely refers to gearbox oil or other lubrication points. Consult the manual for specific oil types and locations. An initial change is recommended after 800 km. |
| Air Filter | Every 9,600 km | Paper elements are typically replaced. Reusable filters should be cleaned and re-oiled. Replacement recommended every 9,600 to 19,200 km. |
| Spark Plugs | Every 9,600 km | Inspect and replace as needed. |
