This vehicle was designed for trail riding, offering a balance of performance and maneuverability. Trims included the base Maverick Trail 800 and the Maverick Trail DPS 800, which added Dynamic Power Steering, Sport/Eco modes, and aluminum wheels. For 2021, "T" designations appeared, indicating EC homologation and features like a catalytic converter. A notable change occurred mid-cycle concerning the rear differential. For 2018 and 2019 DPS models, the Maverick Trail 800 featured an unlocking rear differential, enhancing maneuverability on tight trails. However, for the 2020 and 2021 models, this feature was removed, and the rear differential became a permanently locked unit.
