The 1974 Moto-Ski Futura 295 was a fan-cooled, twin-cylinder snowmobile, part of a new generation introduced by Moto-Ski. Equipped with a 295cc BSE engine, often referred to as a "Rotax in disguise," this model carried over the same reliable powerplant from 1973. The Futura line itself represented a significant evolution, emerging from the 1973 "F" series with a "graphic facelift" for 1974. This platform, initially launched in 1973, featured engines mounted low in the bellypan for a lower center of gravity, an aluminum tunnel, and a slide rail suspension, marking a departure in Moto-Ski's design philosophy. While the 295cc engine remained unchanged, other models in the Futura line, like the 440cc, saw performance enhancements in 1974.
