Moto-Ski Zephyr 317 Snowmobile (1970)
The 1970 Moto-Ski Zephyr 317 is a classic snowmobile designed to carry up to three passengers. Powered by a 317-cc Hirth single-cylinder engine, it produced approximately 20 to 20.5 horsepower. This iconic model remained in production until the end of the 1971 model year. The 1970 model year introduced several significant updates across the Moto-Ski lineup, including for the Zephyr. The cowling was redesigned to feature two rectangular headlights with a central grill. The Zephyr, Capri, and MS-18 received a new seat style with a white base and a blue center stripe, and the Moto-Ski branding was removed from the backrest. Skis were updated with more rounded and pronounced handles, and new flat, square tubular front and rear bumpers were added. A two-lens taillight design was also implemented that year.
