Vehicle Information
Honda Aero 50 Scooter (1983-1987)
The Honda Aero 50 (NB50), a popular scooter model, was sold in North America from 1983 to 1987. Powered by a 49cc two-stroke, forced-air-cooled engine with automatic oil injection, it was known for its urban maneuverability. The model underwent significant evolution. 1983-1984 versions featured a 49cc engine with a 40mm bore and 39.3mm stroke. In 1985, a "second generation" was introduced, featuring a new, more fluid body design, integrated rear lights, a plusher leading-link front suspension, and a 49.3cc AF05E engine (3.9 hp). The kickstarter was removed in 1985, then reintroduced in 1986, when the engine also received a beefed-up crankshaft and a modified intake manifold. There were no distinct trim levels, but rather variations in color. FAQ:
