The Arctic Cat Sabercat 500 (2004-2006) is a performance trail snowmobile, sharing its lightweight chassis with the Firecat but tuned for comfort. It features a consistent 499cc, liquid-cooled, 2-stroke engine producing 80 horsepower throughout its production. While the engine remained constant, significant updates occurred. For 2006, the fuel system transitioned from carbureted (2004-2005 models) to a batteryless Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system, improving starting and performance.
