The BMW G450X, produced from 2008 to 2011, was a dedicated enduro motorcycle, often street-legal, renowned for its lightweight build and innovative design. It featured a liquid-cooled, 449 cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine with DOHC and four titanium valves. This engine consistently delivered 41 hp (30 kW) at 7,000 rpm and 43 Nm (32 lb-ft) at 6,500 rpm throughout its production. An optional electronic coding plug and competition exhaust could boost power to 51-52 hp (38 kW). The G450X was offered as a single enduro model without distinct trims. While the core engine and chassis remained consistent, BMW introduced refinements for the 2010 model year. These included updated ECU mapping for improved fuel consumption, chassis tweaks like a reduced front axle offset for better handling, and revised suspension settings for both the forks and Ohlins rear shock.
