Known as the "King of the Hill," it was renowned for its powerful 350cc air and oil-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine. This engine, paired with a six-speed manual transmission, delivered approximately 27 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 22 lb-ft of torque at 6,000 rpm, offering robust performance for its era. The ATC350X model was offered as a single version, without distinct trim levels. While the core engine and displacement remained consistent, minor refinements were introduced between the 1985 and 1986 models. The 1986 model featured an upgraded carburetor for easier starting, a thicker axle carrier, and a redesigned oil pump to prevent lubrication issues during prolonged wheelies.
