Vehicle Information
Yamaha FZ-10 Motorcycle - Street (2017-2018)
The Yamaha FZ-10, known as the MT-10 in some markets, was introduced in 2017 as a new model, replacing the FZ1. This naked sportbike is powered by a 998cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, 16-valve inline four-cylinder engine with a crossplane crankshaft, derived from the YZF-R1 superbike but retuned for enhanced low-to-mid range street performance. Both 2017 and 2018 models share this core engine, delivering around 158-160 hp. Between the 2017 and 2018 model years, there were no major generational overhauls or significant engine changes. The FZ-10 itself was a new generation for 2017. For 2018, the model received revised engine mapping and a reinforced quickshifter. Trim levels included the standard FZ-10/MT-10, the FZ-10 SP/MT-10 SP (introduced in 2017 with Öhlins ERS and TFT display), and the MT-10 Tourer Edition (launched in 2018 with touring accessories). The quickshifter became standard on the base FZ-10 for 2017. FAQ:
