Vehicle Information
Honda Gyro Motorcycle - Street (1984-1986)
The Honda Gyro, a distinctive tilting three-wheeled scooter, was available in North America from 1984 to 1986. It was powered by a consistent 49cc air-cooled two-stroke single-cylinder engine across these years, offering a unique blend of stability and maneuverability. During its brief North American run, the Gyro saw a significant model transition. The 1984 NN50 model featured a narrow-rear-track design, producing approximately 3.7 horsepower. For 1985 and 1986, it was replaced by the TG50, marketed as the "Gyro S." This variant adopted a wider-track, lower stance, and an exposed tubular frame, giving it a more recreational look. While both models shared the same 49cc two-stroke engine architecture, the TG50 had minor adjustments, increasing its output slightly to 4.0 horsepower. There were no major engine generation changes within this 1984-1986 period. FAQ:
