The Yamaha Riva 180, a popular scooter produced from 1983 to 1985, offered a blend of practicality and style. This model, known by its code XC180, was consistently powered by an air-cooled, 4-stroke, OHV, 2-valve, single-cylinder engine throughout its production run. With a displacement of 171 cc, it delivered 15.0 PS at 7,300 rpm and 14.7 N·m of torque at 6,000 rpm, allowing for a respectable top speed of 110-120 km/h. While the engine remained unchanged, Yamaha introduced several trim levels to enhance the Riva 180 experience. The standard Riva 180 (XC180) was available from 1983 to 1985. In 1984, the Riva 180 Z (XC180Z) was added, featuring a two-tone paint job, color-matched rims, a digital clock, and a plush two-step seat.
