The Yamaha Riva 200 (model code XC200) is a scooter produced from 1987 to 1991. It was designed as an improved successor to the earlier Riva 180 model. This scooter was powered by a single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine with a displacement of 199.7cc. The Riva 200 was known for its ability to reach high speeds and its robust acceleration, offering a dynamic riding experience for its time. The Riva 200 itself represented a significant evolution from the Riva 180, featuring an increased engine displacement, an improved dual-sided front fork, an enhanced auto-choke system, and new aluminum rims. However, within its production run from 1987 to 1991, there were no further major mid-cycle generation changes or significant engine overhauls. Variations primarily concerned the trim levels offered.
