I installed new tires for a trip to Artic Ocean from Edmonton. The tires performed well in the rain. They are stable and reliable in the rain at 120 km/h. I drove on gravel at 160 km/h, and the tires performed just as well and reliably. The only downside is that they wore out very quickly, in my opinion, with only 6,500 km left before the scheduled replacement. On the way back from Damster Highway, the tire started to deflate. Microcracks most likely appeared due to merciless and active use on gravel and rocks (we drove the Damster Highway non-stop from Tuktoyaktuk to Dawson City in 12 hours).
So far so good. No vibration, stuck to the road and curves. Okay on gravel but eh its no dirt tire obvio. Lets see how long they will last
Second set white walls no issues very good tires for the price!
I put the rear tire on my DR-650. I ride a lot of pavement, gravel and two track trails. I love this tire. I have tried more aggressive knob tires but find they get a little twitchy on gravel, these are good and smooth. Very predictable traction. Give one a try, they are quite affordable.
I ride a DR 650, lots of pavement and gravel. I love this tire, it has very predictable hookup and slip. Sometimes you want to have the most traction, and sometimes you want to break traction and swing the back end around a bit. I love this tire. Generally I get a couple of seasons + out of a rear, maybe 10-12K without looking at my records. I generally change tires earlier than later. Great price Revco! Came right to my door out here in the Alberta sticks.
Good value for your money.
There are better longer life tyres, but more expensive..Good for roads, gravel, and light trails
Good tire for the money. I've worn out two and will replace with another one. Handles pavement (wet or dry) very well and quietly. Does gravel/dirt roads well. Only gripe is longevity. Last about ~10 - 12,000 km MAX!
These are true 80/20 tires. Decent road life, great on gravel and hard pack.
Replaced tourance on 1000 vstrom . Haven't done many km on 705. Found them to be quieter on hwy. They made the bike more agile to me also. Time will tell longevity. Can't g
Got a set of these to replace the standard 50/50 knobbies on 2012 KLR650. I’m riding mostly road for commuting and occasional gravel roads and grass. Very happy with the first 250km. They scrubbed in easily and provided good grip right away. Far better turn-in and road handling than stock tires with excellent control during hard braking. Fantastic tires, especially at this price. Hopefully they continue to impress.
They are reasonably priced and serve their purpose, time will tell how they last
Great price, next day delivery, awesome service!
I ride pavement & logging roads and this tire is great! Wears well & provides comfortable ride
These might not be the longest wearing tires, but at this price they work great in every condition aside from sand and mud for obvious reasons. Gravel and dirt roads are fine and on pavement they work great too. I've had these on an Africa Twin, and am now about to install them on a Super Tenere 1200.
One of the cheapest tires you can buy. Fit my Himalayan perfectly. Ok on wet roads, great on gravel. Ok on dirt trails, but terrible in the mud.
This is the third set of Shinko I have put on my Adventure bikes (Super Tenere 1200 and 1250 Gs). One of the cheapest tires you can buy and they perform well in different weather conditions including rain. Ride with other adventure riders and they too have Shinko 705s.
I put the shinko 705s on my DR when the factory tires wore out at 5000 kms. Very good experience with revco. I had a question about the tires and the rep at revco was very helpful over the phone. These are great tires on paved roads and better than the stock tires off-road
Place these on CFMoto 650 mt/adventura and they perform great on hwy and dirt roads.
look good feel good
Good feeling and good grip on asphalt as well as on gravel roads. More appreciated than TKC70. I don't know yet about the durability.
Fits very well on Honda NC750X.
Love these tires on my DRZ400SM. Wish I swapped them out the day I bought the bike.Revco.ca prices were the best. Free shipping as well. They were quick to answer my questions. Very satisfied.
No miles on it yet..
Good price..time will tell
Looks good on my triumph tiger xr it's
? Road and dirt. Nice tire good price
Good tire at reasonable cost
Ordered a set of these for my Honda NC700X. Delivery was quick. The tires are excellent so far. Very good handling on pavement and handle gravel roads easily. A bit of wiggle in deeper gravel but not remotely scary. Some say they are loud but I don't notice that, just a very mild hum. We'll see how they wear but others claim to get excellent life from them.
real good tire!!!!tried in mud, sand, gravel roads, and of course on road and quite fast!!! it is amazing how the tire stick to the road even when its wet. I went on some off roading and the tire did what it was supposed to do; it was real good on hard dirt and gravel, not bad on sand and in some light mud it did ok as long as you clean your wheel by spinning from time to time. Overall you will not find a so good all around tire at that price!!
Great service and best pricing.
I've used the Shinko brand of tires for quite a number of years with good results 705s on my 900 Tiger and Royal Enfield Himalayan as well as Raven tires on my 1050 Tiger , excellent grip in all weather I recommend this brand of tires..
Bon sur la route et sur le gravier, pourrait être un peu plus durable (7-8000 km)
Happily surprise by Shinko 705 tires on a Yamaha XTZ1200. Wet traction (pavement) is nice. Dry traction is fantastic. Offroad and dirt roads traction has so far proven to be up to task. A reliable 70-30 / 80-20. All of this both with loaded and unloaded panniers. So far they have over 4000 Km this season, mostly loaded. It looks like they'll be going for at least 2 seasons and probably over 10-12 000 Km.
Mounted it myself and it balanced naturally. Less noise than the Avon I took off (although it had cupped treads). See how long it lasts.
