Good price and shipping from Revco. Installed on '09 KLR 650. Very good handling on gravel roads and on the highway. Only have 300kms on them so far.
The Heidenau K60 was put on my KTM Super Adventure R. Its ridden in the foothills of the Rockies, lots of sharp rocks, slick mud at time and gravel lots of gravel roads. Tried a couple other tires but this one works he best so far. Not noisy on the hwy, great traction and stability on gravel and loose rock, seems to be a good match for the bike.
The tire arrived as ordered at my door within 24-hours. That’s lightning fast service. Very happy!
This is my second front K60 in the last couple of years. The last one lasted 20,000Km ish. It still had a ton of tread to go but at this point it was starting to cup and have handle bar vibrations.
I’m very happy with the K60. Handles great on the road both wet and dry. It’s also great for both big and small gravel and on dry mud. I do find it to be a bit slippery on the thin layers of wet mud when riding around the mountains, but I just had to adjust my style and be careful.
I typically do about 70 on road and the rest is in the Rocky Mountains for a few week long trips each year.
Anyway, I’m happy with it, it’s a good tyre.
The rear K60 with the centre strip lasts forever on the road, but it’s a struggle to trust the traction when off road. My next back tyre will be something as aggressive but without the centre strip.
