Givi Motorcycle Engine Guard

Package received from Revco quicker than I expected. Guard was put on a 2016 Kawasaki Versys 1000. It went on quite easily following tutorials from different YouTube videos. Instructions sent by Givi are very basic and don't really help a lot. Hardest part was undressing the bike to get the bars on. Guard looks great and I was also able to attach auxiliary lights to it. Very happy with Revco and Givi engine guard.

I purchased for the Ducati Scrambler Classic. The kit was nicely packed and supplied wi all necessary hardware. The quality of the bars is nice with solid good looking welds all round. The coating was also very nice. With hardware it all weighed 8 pounds. Not bad. I like the blocks they give you to attach to the bars on the point of most impact. It was a nice touch. When installing the instructions failed to tell you that removal the left side sway are bolt made the kick stand assembly slide out and the bike almost fell on me. It releases slowly so I could have walked away and it would have hit the ground. Not fun to do on a one day old bike. The other instruction issue was the right side swing arm screw, which is blocked by the rear brake sensor assembly and has to be removed to mount. You also have to avoid using the washer they provide in that area and the screw has to be machines down to fit the sensor back on. The sensor attaches to the frame so there is no way around this. On the right side the bar holes did not align. I could not increase their size without losing material around the hole. I used a bottle jack to stretch them out about 7mm for the holes to meet up. On the left side the story was the same. Maybe 5mm stretch required. Hopefully this did not compromise the welds. This seems like a big fitment problem for those who are not able to stretch the bars. They look great when finished and on the bike. They protect the actual engine unlike the Ducati ones that really are too high to do that. The top bolts of these bars go through the engine mount so you won’t be able to add sliders, which is fine with me.

These are great engine guards high quality finish and material. helpful instructions. Not really an issue worked around it pretty quick. Shipping was very fast..well packaged Thanks for Revco ..
