Review by Darryl Fitzgerald on August 4th, 2017

I purchased these for my newly acquired Defender, as an alternative to the OEM full door setup. After reading many complaints with OEM doors and broken switches, window problems, etc I decided to give these full doors a try. Pricing is about 1/2 of BRP full doors for the Defender. Installation took about 2 hours total, instructions were pretty straight forward. These doors do fit with OEM Roof and Front/Rear windows. They seal well, albeit not a complete body seal as you'd see in a vehicle - but this is a recreational machine, not a truck. Primary purpose was to keep out the elements, and the complete setup does an outstanding job of keeping you dry in even torrential rain. The snow, that remains to be seen in a few months time. For those using (at least) the OEM front polycarbonate (hardcoated) window, you will lose one of your retaining clip brackets on each lower side of the window, as the mounts for the front door plates covers this hole in the roll cage (lower roll cage slit). So far, this hasn't created any real issues with the exception of losing a very small amount of sealing at the lower corners of the window as it isn't held in as tightly..... this does let in just a little rain in the lower corners when riding if outside conditions are windy. Not enough to get wet, just enough to know you'd like to have a tighter seal. I am trying to find brackets that mount from bottom of window frame (near corners) to the inside dash, similar to the center mount. If anyone knows anything suitable, I'd love to hear about it! Service - these guys are fantastic at returning emails, answer questions, and not a single complaint with this transaction. Phil was in constant contact with me during the entire transaction, both friendly and knowledgeable. All online vendors could take a lesson from this company as such. Overall, I'd give this setup an 8/10, with only minor issues. Cosmetically, no complaints, the doors are sturdy, the tinting is mild and gives an overall finished look to the doors. The door catch mechanism does rattle a little when travelling as it's a metal catch on metal bolt. The cab does get hot during sunny days, but that's to be expected - the doors remove very easily by removing the bolt holding the door piston to frame, then slip up and off. Note - which may save someone the extra expense - my next rear window replacement will probably have the sliding rear window for ventilation versus the solid polycarbonate. The doors seem to hold up well against scratching, as so far no visible remnants of running through tighter trails. Only other change I'd consider (to make the removal of the door quicker) would be changing out the nut-and-nylon-lock-washer attachment of the piston on the door/frame to a quick release bolt with a cotter pin to make removal of doors a 15 second job. Long read, but hope this helps someone interested in these doors.
